Our History

Safe Minds Advocacy Community Base Organization (SMAC-Kenya) was founded In 2018 and initiated its, first programme to support victims of Alcohol and Drugs, Mental health and depression among other programmes. We address the biggest challenge we are facing today as a Country, where every day we are losing lives as a result of mental challenges which progress to depression and Are commonly triggered by Alcohol and Drug Addiction (ADA) Our focus is to transform the lifestyles and behaviour through capacity building. We have an established Rehabilitation Centre at Ngoigwa in Thika, Next to St Georges Primary School. Our Centre is accredited by NACADA and operates in both Kiambu and Murang’a counties and we give services to all Kenyans from all races and religions.

We are a team of professional volunteers who have come together to answer the vulnerable community's cry of hopelessness and depression. We have brought our skills and resources together to save the lives of many Kenyans who are lost in this deep sea of alcohol and drug addiction and give them hope and another chance to live a better life.
